Military Auction
We are proud to present an exceptional and extensive militaria auction featuring nearly 1,000 lots spanning more than two centuries of military history, with a particularly strong emphasis on Canadian material. Awarded to surviving veterans of the War of 1812 to commemorate the dramatic capture of Fort Detroit on August 16, 1812. Members of the Detroit and Niagara Militia were entitled to this mention and research does show a W. Wright as being a recipient however the medal does show some wear and markings on the rim that could possibly indicate it was re-engraved. Review Carefully.

Canada 1885 Northwest Medal to ''PTE J. CULP 10th R.G.'' he was a member of the Royal Grenadiers-granades (R.G.) and awarded the Saskatchewan clasp. Should be noted that our research of Pte. J. Culp, 10th R.G. cannot confirm him from the published regimental rolls. There are references to J. Culp, but with no first name it is difficult to associate them. The medals were officially issued unnamed, and many members of the 10th Royal Grenadiers had their medals privately impressed or engraved in matching regimental styles. Bid accordingly.

LORNE SCOTS'' w/clasp & For Long Service in the Colonial Auxiliary Forces to ''C.S.M. W. COLES. THE HALTON RIFLES''. A quite fascinating assembly of medals. Coles was British Born but had a long and prominent veteran/military career with both the British and Canadian Services. Review carefully. Research indicates a strong correlation suggesting that this grouping does indeed belong to the same individual. However, as documentation from this period is not always readily accessible, further investigation is recommended to conclusively confirm the attribution.
