The “Militaria” Collection holds a premium selection of carefully chosen elusive war medals of Canada and Great Britain issues. Also featuring in this auction; a possibly UNIQUE Nova Scotia Treasury note dated 1838. In session 4, you will find a nice assortment of tokens, US, World coins & banknotes. In session 5, you will find over 500 lots of Canadian coins, banknotes and bulk lots.

Militaria Medal; Canada - Military General Service Medal, 1793–1814 with clasps Chateauguay & Fort Detroit to '' JO's AUCLAIRE , CANADn MILITIA'' with original ribbon and documents/proof of issue (copies). A similar example with only one the Châteauguay Clasp and no ribbon recently sold for $14 200 in our Prominence VIII Sale. It should be noted that there are conflicting theories and documents prevailing to wether the unit was actually at Fort Detroit Hence the remission of the Fort Detroit Bar. Either way this remains an important and Rare set of medals with significant historical importance. Documents are also included.

Militaria Medals; Canadian Grouping of 2 medals to Captain E.F. Mackie LD Strathcona's Horse - includes Distinguished Service Order DSO & Queen's South Africa Medal w/Natal, Orange Free State, Belfast & SA 1901 clasps. He served in the South African War, 1900-1, as Adjutant, Lord Strathcona's Corps and was awarded the DSO In recognition of services during the operations in South Africa". He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel 1 July 1915.

Militaria Medals; Canada - Queen's 1899 South Africa Medal to ''300 PTE. E.R. MURRAY, LD. STRATHCONA'S H:'' with Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Belfast & South Africa 1902. Comes with several pcs of documentation coroborating medals and attribution. Should be noted that this medal exhibits the Raised Dates and is to be considered quite scarce as Only about 100 were issued by Queen Victoria to members of the Lord Strathcona's Horse at Buckingham Palace who were on their way back to Canada.
